Meet pastor Pedro!

Serving as Pastor of Shalom Mennonite Fellowship, Pedro is passionate about fostering a multicultural and multilingual community rooted in peace, justice, and belonging. An ordained minister with over twenty years of experience, Pedro has served in diverse pastoral roles in Arizona, California, and New Mexico. He has also developed border education programs that connect biblical stories with the lived realities of migration, fostering spaces of encounter, solidarity, and hope.

Rooted in Latin American liberation theologies, his ministry engages colonialism, mestizaje, and liminal spaces as places where God’s vision of belonging emerges. Pedro and his wife, Alejandra, live in Sahuarita with their two sons, Santiago and Agustín. He enjoys playing guitar, exploring fiction in books and film, and coaching Little League baseball.
